Annual Events

Centennial Family Awards

The Centennial Family Awards program honors families who have lived in Lake Forest and/or Lake Bluff continuously for 100 years or more. The awards are presented to three families each spring at the Historical Society’s Annual Meeting. This program provides both a wonderful tribute to the families involved and an opportunity for families to remember and explore stories from their past.

Historical Society staff likes get an early jump on our research for this program so family members have time to locate photographs and memorabilia. We can also arrange to interview any family members interested in recording their reminiscences.

Nominations are accepted at any time. To nominate your family for the award, download our Nomination Form here.

For questions or more information about the program, contact Curator Laurie Stein.
