Tour of Ragdale | June 27

Join us on Thursday, June 27 for a tour of Ragdale. Designed as the summer home of architect Howard Van Doren Shaw, Ragdale now is a retreat for artists and writers. This tour will include the house, which was recently renovated, and gardens. Tickets may be purchased online - space is limited.

Cascarano and Lanners-Rose Families Honored

At our Annual Meeting on May 5, two families were honored with the 2013 Centennial Family Awards, which celebrates families that have lived in our community for 100 years or more. You can also learn more about the Cascarano family, who moved to Lake Forest in 1910, and the Lanners-Rose family, who had arrived here by 1890, in our online Centennial Family Award galleries.

Exhibit of Crab Tree Farm Paintings by Local Artists

Three local artists have shared their paintings of Crab Tree Farm with us, some of which were painted "en plein air." Stop by to see paintings of this beautiful, unique Lake Bluff site by artists Katie Hale, Jill Pilarski, and Bart Woloson. This exhibit will be on display through August 7. More...
