The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Historical Society plays a unique role in our community. No other organization is solely dedicated to collecting and sharing the history of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.
In addition to memberships, the Historical Society looks to individuals, corporations and foundations for donations. This support funds our efforts to preserve local photographic, archival and artifact collections; create exhibitions and educational programs; and provide public access to research. View our Wish List for specific funding opportunities.
How to contribute:
To donate online, please use the Donate button below.
To make a donation by check, please print and return a donation form.
Your gift may be made in honor of or in memory of a loved one and we will be happy to notify the person you designate about your gift. Near the end of the payment process, you will have an opportunity to note in whose memory or honor the donation is being made and the name and address of the person you would like us to notify.
Donations of any size help keep our history relevant and preserve it for years to come. Donations may be made in the form of a cash gift, a bequest, or a gift of stock or real property. Because the Historical Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, your donation is tax-deductible.
We are indebted to our donors who have included the Historical Society in their planned giving through wills and trusts, insurance policies, and annuities. Future residents of Lake Forest will benefit greatly from these thoughtful gifts to preserve our heritage. If you would like to leave a restricted gift or would like to discuss other gift planning ideas, such as a gift of stock, please contact Director of Development Lisa Frey or call 847.234.5253.
