PART I of our Genealogy Program Series--from Inspiration to Action!

We're delighted to invite award-winning author Gail Lukasik back to talk about her own genealogy journey of self-discovery as seen on PBS Genealogy Roadshow, and her bestseller, White Like Her: My Family's Story of Race and Racial Passing. Gail's book was named by The Washington Post as one of the most inspiring stories of 2017, reached the top 100 books on Amazon, and is in its third printing. Image result for white like herThe book captured national attention and led to Gail’s appearance on the "Megyn Kelly Today" show (2/2018).

White Like Her has been optioned by FGW Productions ("Who Killed Tupac?") and will be adapted as a dramatic TV series.

Gail recently completed filming a short documentary, the History of Memory (Redglass Pictures, Inc.), which will be released in 2019. The documentary delves into the significance of photographs in a person's life. To read more about Gail, visit
