Paul Grasmehr of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library will present a talk about the Vietnam War including how 1966 was a pivotal year as the amount of troops quickly escalated. His talk will set the stage highlighting such events as the U.S.-Soviet space race, civil rights protests, and the U.S. Supreme Court Miranda decision.

The program is presented in conjunction with the Historical Society’s forthcoming mock newspaper which will explore local events and activities during the year 1966.
